White House on “DEFCON 2” after McConnell fails to block witness testimony

A senior administration official deeply involved in the White House impeachment strategy has told CBS News that they are on “DEFCON 2” after Trump’s lawyers wrapped his defense on Tuesday. Mitch McConnell told colleagues that he does not have the votes to block witness testimony as pressure on John Bolton to testify skyrockets.

President Trump, “The can’t win and election, their trying to steal an election!”
